Famous Green Parrot Pot Roast Recipe (use fully grown Parrot's)
I paid $40,000 for this restaurant and recipe in 1988! Here's the real deal written out From Dr. Paul Page In a roasting pan put 3 cans mushroom gravy and 1 can dry sherry from the liquor store in pan and whisk together. Slice 1 onion into rings and line the bottom of the pan. Get a 3-4 lb lean roast and brown it on all sides in a hot non stick pan. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and salt. Place in pan on top of sliced onions. Take 3-4 onions cut into quarters and place around the edge of the roast. Take 8-10 carrots and peel them and place in roasting pan. Cover in foil and place in a 250 degree oven for 6 1/2 hrs. Remove roast and onions after done and take 2 table spoons of butter and nuke for 1 min or until its melted add 1/4 flour and mix with butter add to gravy and bring to a boil to thicken gravy. For the potatoes take 2 russet and peel and shred with a box shredder into a colander. Rinse with cold water to get most of the starch out get all the water out before putting into a pie dish. Pour whip cream over the top until cream is at the top about 1 pint will do. Put into oven on top rack 2 hrs before roast is done.
